Holy Moly!?!?!

Liam is 6 months old today. Man, the time has flown by!!

I...

I forgot how messy babies eat food. -Kristi I love playing outside. I love riding my bike. I love making up songs. I LOVE dancing. And I love playing dress-up. I love taking pictures. And I love my brother. I love holding and walking with Liam. I love doing hopscotch. I really love puzzles. I love coloring. I love watching movies. I love bubbles. I like my Nana's and friends. I love riding my bike. -Jordan Staheli I love laughing. I enjoy playing with my toes. I just learned about sitting up in a bath, and will never go back to laying in one (one day I will catch that water when it's coming out of the spout). I have recently learned to blow bubbles and my favorite time to do it is when mom is feeding me. I hate tummy time. I love daddy making faces at me. I love mommy's hair. If it's not down that day, I reach around until I find her ponytail to hold onto. I love being outdoors, watching my sister play, waiting for when I'm big enough to play too. I love to smile. -Liam Staheli (translated by Kristi)

Hmmm.... what to do for H

When I started this blogging by letter thing, I never knew how hard it would be. For those of you who read my blog, don't blog like this. I've been tempted to quit blogging this way, but I just can't. I need to finish, so I'm sorry if it takes forever.
Now, on to the letter H...
Half marathon- Most people don't know it, but this has been a dream of mine for a few years now. I really thought this was going to be my year, but I don't think it is. I've looked at doing several, but it seems like every weekend that there is one I'm interested in, something is going on. Or, the ones I want to do are like 8.5 hours away, and I'm not in a place where I'm willing to ride in a car that long with two kiddos (one who is still an infant and the other one doesn't know how to stop talking). There is one in Death Valley in December, so maybe that one... I guess we'll have to see as the time gets closer. Another reason I haven't started yet is the lack of shoes. For those of you who don't run, running shoes have to be replaced about every 500-600 miles logged. A regular runner can expect to need a new pair of shoes every 6 months or so. Mine are almost 1.5 years old and have logged well over 500 miles. There is only one pair of shoes right now that I like, and I have been surfing the internet trying to find them on sale. I finally did it. Yay. I'm addicted to the Brooks Addiction.

These are them. They are so stable. I love them. Anyway, feel free to keep checking back to see how the running is going and if I've decided what half marathon to run.
Hot- It is already getting hot here. Yesterday our thermometer said it was 98 outside. While I do think that was a little on the high side, it was definately over 90. So for those of you who've had snow lately... I'll trade you. Summer comes too fast here, and I would love to put the heat off a little longer in hopes that it doesn't get so bad this year.
Happy- Joey is soooo happy this week. Last weekend we went to Vegas because I had a nephew getting blessed. She got to see her "Monkey Mike." Really, it's uncle Mike, but hey, he loves the unique nickname, and it totally fits him. On top of that, she gets to see her Nana and Bop-bop Staheli this weekend and Uncle Jarom.
Liam is just in general a happy baby. I love this about him. I feel so blessed to have two happy babies! He loves sitting up by himself now. He's been doing it for a couple weeks, and now only likes his bouncer if he's outside.
Oh, I almost forgot... Hummingbird. We have had a hummingbird feeder for about a year and a half now, and I have several who frequent it. If it's down, they literally do come up to the window and look for it. It's so fun! With how often they frequent the feeder, I figure that they have to live close by. A few days ago, I found a nest.

Do you see it? In this picture, it's not hard to miss, but in real life, it's hard to spot. When we hang out out back, the hummingbird will leave it's nest, but not be far away.

Do you see him (or her???)? I love this shot with the sun to his (or her) back. It was tricky getting a good picture of the hummingbird. We sat there for a long time before I got it.
Anyway, I hope that you all are doing well. Do me a favor??? Enjoy life. I had a dear friend from high school killed in a car accident a week and a half ago. He was 25 and his life is over. You truely never know when it's going to be your turn to go, so live life now. Don't put things off. And remember, "Life is to enjoyed, not just endured." -President Gordon B. Hinkley
