Summertime fun

While San Andreas doesn't get as hot as Ridgecrest got, it still gets plenty warm here. So warm, that we were worried about the summer and what we could do all summer but still stay cool. Over Memorial Day weekend, there was a sale on some easy set-up pools. We ended up not getting a big one, but just big enough for the kids to play in and have a blast. I won't say it is the best money we have ever spent, but it was money well spent.

Sacramento Zoo

At the beginning of June, J's school class took a field trip to the Sacramento zoo. I was also able to take L, which was pretty fun. I think he enjoyed being included. I was an adult in charge of a few kids, so I didn't take a bunch of pictures. But it was fun. It's not a very big zoo, so we were able to see most of it in about an hour and a half, but I would like to go back and spend a little bit more time there. Thankfully there are also a bunch of parks there too to play on afterward.
