Joey language

Yes, it does exist... ask her yourself. Here is what she told me today, "Dinggy pong dong dong." When I asked her what it means, I was informed it meant, "I'm going to spray you." Who woulda thought???
By the way, this is just a picture re-itterating how crazy this girl is.

17 and Counting

So I know I ranted about the birds once (at least). Well here is the latest on them. There is bird poop all over my back patio from the nests. It makes me wish I had let Ty knock them down right away. And it's all over our lawn mower. Nasty!! And we have these two big trees out back that we love for the shade, but dislike because all the birds sit on them and poop all over our other back porch and Joey's trampoline. Not to mention all the poop out front from our high rise bird condo. And so far we have had at least 17 baby birds fall out of that tree. I think we could save 6, the others died on impact. I had to say at least 17 because around 2/3 of the base of the palm tree is a jungle of several types of vines, so I really have no clue if any have fallen into that. Every time we get a windstorm though (and it was really windy for most of the month of April and there have been several big windstorms in May so far) we have another one bite the dust. So irritating! Anyway, I just thought ya'll would like to know our count so far.

Swim Season

Swim season has arrived!!! It isn't usually here officially until Memorial Day, but with temps running 100+ daily, it came early. Here are some pictures of Joey and some friends the first day we had her pool out. We are hoping by the middle of summer to have the backyard ready for a nice big pool (it would only be a 4ft deep one, but still!).

3rd times a charm... hopefully

Since my doctor today told me that all things are progressing where they should be, we finally feel comfortable announcing our news. Baby #2 is on it's way! I am almost 13 weeks pregnant now and due November 18. We were hoping for new pictures, but they will probably have to wait a month. Ty and I are really excited, but Joey is over the moon about it. She is so excited for a baby sister. No, we don't know what we are having yet, but Joey says if it's a boy, we have to send it back for a girl. We'll keep ya'll updated as things progress. Here are pictures of the baby, dubbed "Frog" from the second picture, about 4 weeks ago.

Be-lated Easter

So we really did do Easter on time, I just never uploaded the pictures. And I haven't as yet been able to catch Joey in her Easter dress because we don't get her in it until we are about to walk out the door and as soon as we walk in from church, she strips it off and goes searching for other clothes. Oh well. Anyway, for Easter Saturday we invited our friend over to dye eggs because the kit we had came with 9 colors, so it was a lot of dye. Then we took our friends egg rolling again (we did it with them last year). The egg rolling is something we've picked up from Ty's family, but unfortunatley, there are no real cool hills, so we went to a little one at a park in town. We roll to see who's lasts the longest, see how many times someone can roll an already broken egg, then we just get sick of trecking back up the hill and throw them at the trees. This year we actually had to pick the shells up because they had foam stickers on them, so we didn't want to feed those to the birds. We also found out the foam stickers don't pad the eggs to keep them from breaking, in case you ever want to try it. Anyway, then we went to my parents where Joey and her cousin did a few easter egg hunts in their front yard in the grass that was almost a foot long (my mom purposely didn't cut the grass so she could hide the eggs better). For actual Easter dinner, we had a nice ham at my parents. We were very grateful that my dad was well enough to have us over. Here are some pictures.

Happy Mother's Day

This is for all you mom's out there who read our blog.
HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!!!

For my mother-in-law-
Thank you for all you have done for Ty through his life and for all you have done for us since I've met you. You sure are the best mother-in-law I could have ever asked for.

MMMmmm!!

Today I cooked some yummy cheese manicotti for dinner! It was delicious. A big part of what made it good is the fact that I haven't cooked for 2 or 3 weeks because I haven't been feeling good. I mean, I've lost 15+ pounds recently. But yesterday I decided no matter what I was going to cook dinner, and I'm so glad I did. It's nice to have a real home cooked meal again. This is pretty much what my dinner looked like.
