It might be a while....

I know I haven't posted in a month. And we actually do have a few more things to post about. I might get time to post about Jordan's birthday, but I wouldn't count on it for another month. It might be a month before I post again period. Why you might ask? Well, if you have facebook, you already know. It's not a secret or anything. In two weeks from either today or tomorrow we are moving to Ely, Nevada. Well Ty is. The kids and I might be a week behind him depending on when the moving company packs us up. He will be working for the copper mine there. We really feel that this is the right decision for us right now. With Ty's work lately, he is working 12+ hours a day anywhere from 2-4 days a week. We both just feel like this job is stressing him out and aging him too much and he doesn't see the kids much. I mean, it was my neighbor and I who taught Jordan how to ride a bike because Ty wasn't home. Just little things like that are taking a toll on all of us. So we are leaving. Well it be hard to leave? Surpisingly yes. Which is funny because I definitely get on my "I hate Ridgecrest! Get me out of here!" kicks. But this has been my home for soooo long. I have family here. I have friends from all walks of life here. This is what my kids know. That being said, yes, I do know that we will make our home up there. We will get friends up there. My kids will learn to love it up there. I don't know. It will be a change. I think one of the hardest parts of leaving will be leaving my parents. If you didn't know, my dad had a fairly rare cancer 4 years ago. He will officially have been in remission 4 years around Christmas. However, he is not cured. In fact, within the next three years (though we are all thinking it will more likely be one year) his cancer will come back. I can hope my dad decides to fight it, but I am not sure. Even if he does, the cancer will come back again and again. I worry for my parents through that. I have promised to visit. Especially once my dad gets sick again. My mom pointed out that he may be too sick for us to stay with them, to which I pointed out that we do have friends that would let us use some floor space. My work offered the surgery gurneys. Ha.
I am just emotional with this move. Which is amazing because I am not usually an emotional person. I know it is right for us though. We are starting a new chapter in our lives......
