Few more random photos...

After we got the water turned back on, some dirt got into the valves in the toilet for the guest bath and were causing issues, namely Jordan screaming that the toilet was broken. Have I ever mentioned before that she is pretty dramatic? We could have fixed it by taking it apart and cleaning it, but the porcelain on the bottom was broken, and it was old and yucky and the lid to the tank wasn't even the right lid, and a whole bunch of other little things, so we went and got a new toilet for the guest bath. I did most of the removing of the old one and setting this one in place because of Ty's bum shoulder. It was my first toilet removal and installation. Yay me. Anyway, it looks nice huh?My kids have seen their first toad. I am pretty sure he has shown up twice now. I don't remember the first time we saw him (maybe on the night the pipes broke... see post below), but we for sure saw him a few days ago when I picked up the kids after kickboxing. The were touching the poor fella and crowding around him, and scared the pee out of him. Jordan thought that was the funniest thing in the world to do.Lastly, we went camping last weekend for the first time this year. Well, second time for Ty, as he went with the scouts in January. But we went with some friends to Death Valley. All in all, it was fun, but we know to go earlier in the year next year. Last weekend was just too hot and crowded. Anyway, I didn't take pictures much, but here are my little kiddos. Jordan was "boy trapped" in her photo. Beside the each boy in the photo, are other little boys, one Liam, and the other one is a little boy Liam's age. They didn't make the picture though. :(

Busted pipes... :(

So I wrote about us wanting to remove our palm tree stump, and how there were holes all over. And I wrote how it wasn't possible at the time because of the water main being RIGHT THERE. Well, our friend came back over to try taking it out a couple weeks ago. Let me tell you, it was awfully exciting to see it go. The stump weighs probably over a ton, closer to two tons. When he picked it up to move it, the back of the excavator didn't touch the ground because of the stump. Aahhhhhh it's gone! Anyway, so we had to dig competely around the main water line and expose it. This hole was probably two of Liam deep by the time it was done. When he first started getting the stump to move, I had to climb into the hole and hold the water main out of the way so the roots wouldn't snap it. All went well. He then filled in the hole. I would have helped to make sure the dirt got back under the pipe well enough to support it, but it was getting dark, I had both kids outside, Jordan wanted to run up and down the street, and Liam thought it was fun to stand behind the excavator. So I had my hands full, but it seemed to go ok. Until about 10 minutes after our friend left. Ty wasn't yet home from scouts, and I had sent Joey into the bathroom to shower. She comes running out, screaming at the top of her lungs "Mom, there is no water!!!" It turns out the the pop I had her a few minutes before was our water main breaking. I called our friend back to turn off our water because I couldn't find the water turny-off thingamajig. And Jordan was bawling, and Liam just wanted to jump into the huge puddle out front. So, I trucked Jordan over to my parents (after Ty was home, of course) for a shower, and I went there the next morning to shower. Thanks Mom and Dad. Well, Ty mostly fixed the pipe the next day (a Friday), but after several attempts, there was still a small leak, but nothing too bad, so we left it for the next day. Too bad that Saturday it rained all day. We couldn't fix the pipe in the wind and rain. So anyway, it ended up being broken for a week, but now, it is competely fixed. We were pretty excited to bury the pipe once and for all. Here are some pictures. And the kids got to enjoy a ride on the excavator this time. (Sorry, the pictures aren't in order.)

Quick Update with photos

I told you guys that I wasn't going to be able to update this a lot in the next couple months. I am sorry though that it has taken this long.
Not a whole lot has happened around here. We are all just trucking along doing school, work, and dealing with illnesses. We have had strep, ear infections, countless colds, and the stomach flu this winter. Here it is March, and both kids are sick with their worst colds yet. When will this be over?
I got a new calling on Sunday. On top of my other two (technically three callings, but as our ward choir was kind of disbanded, so I don't do much as the assistant choir director), they thought I need to teach Relief Society. So now, I am the assistant ward choir director, ward chorister, activity day leader, and a relief society teacher. Can they get me any busier? Well, yeah they can, so I won't complain. Oh, I don't know if I mentioned it or not, but I also started kickboxing two to three days a week. I have come to love my "me" time that I get there. And my coaches say I have come a long way in the couple months I've been there. They keep asking me if I would be interested in competing. I am not really, but I would love to be good enough to do it.
Ty is crazy busy with work. I won't go into all the gory details of what is going on though. For the past couple weeks, he has had several extra meetings after work. Hopefully those will stop soon so that I can see Ty again. He is also in charge of the 11 year old scouts in our ward and teaches that Sunday school class.
Jordan is reading second grade books. Some of them she reads are probably third grade, and those ones she needs a little more help with. Too bad she doesn't really like reading. She could be so much better. Her school has split the 1st grade classes for a little bit a couple times a week. They go into different groups (all 3 classes are in on this) and work on different things. One is just a review of what they are doing. One is advanced reading (Jordan has been doing this for over a year) and the one that Jordan is in is advanced Math. So they are working on second grade math, and Jordan usually comes home with a B on those tests. Not bad!
Liam... what do I say about this kid! Man, he is energetic! He is just a hilarious little boy. Just yesterday, when he and Ty went to the store for a few minutes, Ty said, Liam, let's get in the car. Liam looks at Ty, salutes, and says "Yes sir!" Where did he get that? I could write a whole book on the stuff this kid does, but I won't. Sorry.
Anyway, on to the pictures........
We got the kids a swingset for Christmas. One friend said "Wow, your kids must have been really well behaved." Well, acutally, I got sick of them inside all the time, so now I can send them out to play!
Liam wanted to put his tie on for church one day and ended up undoing half the buttons.
He loves his daddy's motorcycle and can't wait to drive one himself one day!
I believe that those My Little Ponys at the top of the slide are Jordan's shop workers???? The barbies she usually puts at the bottom I know are her customers.
Liam and I went to a local tile store today to look at tile (no duh!) Anyway, this particular tile store, the owner is really into sand rails and go-carts. Like, he races them professionally. Well, being his rambunctious little self, they decided to let him go see them to release some energy. This picture is the sand rail. The next one is the go-cart. Almost his size.

Sorry, I realize that there are many pictures of Joey (I have a couple I didn't upload because she was moving in them) but we haven't been doing a whole lot that is photo worthy. I will try to get better about that soon.
