The closet

So I have spent the weekend painting Joey's closet. It took like 4 hours and almost an entire gallon of paint, I still have some trim to finish, and I have to paint the doors to her closet. But the inside of the closet is done (finally). Riki, I'm sorry, I didn't take pictures of what it looked like before the painting, but since Ty is putting custom shelves in her closet this week, I'll get pictures of before and after so you guys can see. It has to be done this week because currently everything that was in her closet is all over her bed and strewn about her room. Can you say major disaster? It looks like several tornadoes touched down in her bedroom. So, until her closet is done, she's sleeping on the hide-a-bed in the living room.

Great Grandma

So while in Utah (yes, I'm still posting pictures from that trip), Ty and I decided to go to the Manti Temple and do a session. It's only the second time we've been there since we got married, but the first time for a session. It was fun to be able to go. I totally forgot how beautiful that part of Utah is. It sometimes does make me miss Snow College, but then I get over it. Anyway, after our session at the temple, we decided to drive a little more and go visit Grandma Christensen. It was good to go visit her. Nana and Bop-bop drove Joey over later and met up with us at Grandma Christensen.






As you can tell from all the pictures I ever post, I'm always the one holding the camera.

Cousins

While in Utah, Joey got to hang out with her cousin "E" quite a bit, and fell in love. Acutally, Joey loves all babies, but she really really liked E. I think it was mutual. Anyway, here are some cute pictures of Joey and E playing.

Home at last...

Well, we made it home from our trip to Utah. It was a good trip, and I think it was just the right length. Long enough to have time to do some things, but not too long. The second time we started out, we gave Joey dramamine about an hour before we left, so thankfully, no car sickness! And she slept most of the way... k, so really, only for 6 hours. The last two hours of the trip was filled with "Are we there yet?" And, "When are we going to be at Nana's house?" And "Are there more horses to see?" Let me tell you... it was a LONG drive to Oak City from Cedar City!!!
The first real thing we did was go Trilobite hunting. For those of you who don't know what they are, they are fossils. You can go hunting for them about 1.5 hours from Ty's parents house. We had a good time doing it, but I think next time (if we go again) I'd rather go for 2 hours, not three. Though, it may be easier if I wasn't pregnant. 6 Years

Today is our 6 year anniversary! I love you Ty!!

Delayed

Our trip to Utah got delayed at least a day. We were due to head out around 3 am, however, when that time rolled around, we were still a little too tired to drive. So back to bed. We headed out around 7:30 this morning and made it an hour and a half (to Barstow in case anyone cares) before Joey got too car sick, and we had to turn around and head home.

This poor kid. She was watching a movie, so we think that has something to do with it, but I'm pretty sure she just gets really car sick. So we are going to head out late tonight so that we can get some dramamine in her and have her sleep through the trip and hopefully make it up tomorrow.
