Joey Entertainment
Joey has a little scratch on her index finger. With her all little scratches are big deals... all the time. Well today was no exception. We were sitting down for lunch and we were trying to figure out why she wouldn't eat lunch. First she had to wait until she wasn't mad at us (she had just gotten in trouble for not listening to me). Then she noticed the scratch on her finger. Did I mention it is an old enough scratch to be scabbed already? Anyway, she told us she couldn't eat lunch until her finger didn't hurt. Then she started biting her finger. We asked what she was doing. "I'm biting my finger so the scratch won't hurt." Ty and I were trying to hold back laughs as she sitting there for a minute biting her finger. Then she says "Huh, maybe not." and quits biting it.

GGRRRRR and Frustrations
I'm sick of people have zero respect for other people's property.
Example number 1... Ty and I were driving off somewhere Saturday and as we drove away, we noticed something on the back of the golf. Ty thought it was paper, so we didn't worry about it and thought we'd clean it up when we came home. We get home and he gets out to start picking up the paper, and it was really eggshells. Someone had egged his golf (yes we still haven't but it's not drivable at the moment). So he spent some time cleaning that up Saturday.
Example two... Sunday we came home from church, and as we were driving up and noticed that someone had busted the Escort window while we were at church. I called my parents to let them know (the car is actually my parents although we pay most everything on it) and also informed them that we were egged the day before and my mom told me that she and my little brother scrubbed egg off the church on Saturday for about two hours. (Have we told you yet that we live directly down the street from the church?) So Monday I went to the PD and filed a report on the car for insurance and to ask if they could maybe step up patrol, which they said they would do. (It's nice having Ty in high places at the city... they want to take care of us.)
Example 3... Two hours ago Ty and I were half asleep (very long day for both of us) and were jerked back to reality when we hear a pop and something ping off one of our front windows. We knew what it was so Ty ran out front to check it out. He immediately comes back in and tells me to call the cops because someone just shot out another window on his car (the other window is still missing and taped up). Now how do we know it had just happened? Well about 20 minutes before this happened he was in the car driving home and there was a whole window. We are trying to figure out who has it in for us and why? I kinda wonder if it's connected to his work (being the budget officer) but I really think it was some kids on our block because we didn't hear a car and by the time Ty ran to look and see what it was, there was no one in site. But it's really frustrating. Now with the two windows missing on the car we figure it's totalled, so we'll probably just junk it and live without a car. Who knows. But seriously... people need to learn some respect!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Princess dress

Joey LOVES her blue dress. She calls it her princess dress. Nana Staheli made it for Annies wedding back in August (thanks Nana!). She always wants to wear it. If I ask her to pick a dress for church, she picks her princess dress. Well today she picked her princess dress again. As I was getting her dressed, she was double checking that she'd actually get to wear this dress. The conversation went about like this. "Do I get to wear the blue princess dress?" "Yes, Joey, you are wearing the blue dress today." "I like the princess dress. It's big and blue and kind." Were that last one came from, I have no clue. But apparently her blue princess dress is kind.
P.S. I still haven't gotten the pictures downloaded, so this picture is from August at the wedding.

Do I like _____?
I was totally just going to post some cute pictures of Joey, but can't find the cable for the camera and Ty's spending the night in the hospital doing a sleep study, so they will have to come later. However, I remember a Joey quote that I've been meaning to post.
Joey constantly asks herselft "Do I like ________________?" Then she starts the argument with herself. "No, I don't. Yes, I do. No, I don't. Yes, I do. No, I don't. Yes, I do." This argument usually continues for about 2 minutes or so before I get sick of hearing it, or she starts shouting at herself and finally usually ends as "YES, I DO!!!" Then she promptly stomps off.
It really is rather amuzing to watch.

And yet sometimes it's amazing!
This kinda goes in line with my last blog. Sometimes it's truely amazing to live in the ward your parents are in. Two Sundays ago was one of those Sundays, and one I will cherish forever! My dad got up during Fast and Testimony meeting and bore his testimony. I cannot remember any other time when he's born his testimony that he wasn't giving a talk. My dad has truely been an inspiration to my as he has dealt with everything! Every Sunday that he has been able to, he's made it to at least Sacrament meeting (he's missed when he's been in the hospital and I think only two other times he's been way too sick to come). It was just amazing to hear his testimony!
For those of you who know my dad and wonder how he's doing, just after Christmas he was officially told he's in remission!!! Stem cell transplant to come in a week or so.

Sometimes it's so weird
Sometimes it is so weird to have moved back into the ward I grew up in. Not very often does it seem that weird, but last night was one of those times. A bunch of ladies had a girls night out for a friend's birthday. It was way fun, but so weird that I am hanging out with my friends parents now! Kelly, this is mostly for you because it was your mom. I totally love her, but it is still weird to be having girls night with her, not with her supervising now.

SOOOOOOO not fair!!!
When we came home from Christmas break in Utah we were so excited. Gas was below $2 a gallon finally! It has stayed pretty steady since then, until two nights ago. Gas jumped 16 cents a gallon to 2.15. What is up with that???? Everywhere else in California is still way below us. Something isn't right here.
